A "Monster's High" Birthday Party!

I had never heard of "Monster's High" before this sweet Ari's birthday a few weeks ago now.

Monsters or not, after a little research I found these creatures to be quite charming and adorable.

I chose "Dracu-Laura" as our subject matter and I truly was floored at how awesome these little ladies did!!

{I am totally IN LOVE with this acoustic version of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and it goes perfect with this party theme. Check it out on the link below and please check out these fantastic paintings! :)

We first started by sketching in our monogram, painting the backgrounds in purple and distressing the edges to make it look spooky.

Then we detailed the skin, using minimal 3-Dimension because she is a pretty simplistic cartoon character.

This may be one of my favorite photos from the day...I love captures of our artists painting....when they themselves are a work of art with paint on THEIR OWN faces as well :)

Each turned out so stunning and so different! I adore how this happens!!

Each artist always has a different interpretation of the same subject matter and this makes my heart just flutter with excitement.
