I still cannot get over how these multi-media watercolor, sharpie and glue (yes...glue) pumpkins turned out ;)
Please check out how these almost stained glass-eque paintings developed! We had over 22 kids working on these,...so this is just a sampling of this awesome work!
First, I had them draw free hand with glue the week before so that their pumpkins were dry to paint on...
Drawing with glue = SO FUN
The next week, when our pumpkins were dry, the kids outlined their pumpkins with a fine point sharpie.
The sharpie does not bleed when wet and the glue acts as a barrier between the watercolors so they turned out absolutely spectacular!
Step by step we built color to give our pumpkins dimension.
And then we used only a few colors to build our sunsets. So beautiful!
Im SO in love with these! ALL ages did incredible work!
And of course...there was face painting, since it was right around halloween ;)
