This incredible crock-pot meal was first tasted at my sweet friend Jessie's home during our bible study Christmas party last year.

(Read about the baby shower we threw for her in our events section soon!)

Here are the ingredients:

Pre-Cook Meat on Medium (I used lean turkey. Original Recipe calls for ground beef.)

After meat is cooked through, throw it into the crock pot along with the beans, hominy, and tomatoes.

Then, add your water.

Next: Seasonings!

The ranch dressing mix...yum! The key ingredient, in my opinion...

Jessie's Taco Soup Recipe:

1 LB Hamburger, fried (I used Turkey)

1 can pinto beans, drained (I omitted these and used two cans of black beans)

1 can black beans, drained

2 cans Rotelle tomatoes

2 cans yellow hominy (a corn product you can find in the Mexican section of your grocery store, or at the Dollar Tree)

2 cans water

1 pkg taco seasoning

1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dry Ranch Dressing

Combine all ingredients in your crock pot, as seen above.

Stir and set crock pot on low for 8 hours and then warm until ready to serve!

Serve with with sour cream, black olives, shredded cheese, and taco chips!

Soooo worth the 8 hour wait!

Enjoy!
