This Friday, we had yet another Princess (and Prince) day at Bloom-Prints Studio.
In honor of the British Royal birth and his parent's Art History degrees...I thought I would post in our regal day : )
Congratulations William and Kate!
Thomas Kinkade's Princess castles were once again our inspiration...
Our Princesses (and Prince) arrived, received their crowns and scepters and we discussed our subject matter that we would learn to draw and paint with oil pastel and tempra.
I mean truly...have you ever seen a cuter, sweeter group of kiddos in all of your life? :)
It was a joy to teach them!
Each sweet little artist had a different take on how to draw and paint their castles.
It was so exciting to watch their tiny hearts soar with imagination as they told the story of why they were painting their castles in the way they did.
Each artist was incredibly focused as they utilized every technique.
I loved their use of color and design!
We did a resist technique for the boarders...to keep a fresh, clean even line.
Kolton was so proud of his dark and scary haunted castle...
They all did beautiful work! Cant wait til next week to delve deeper into the world of paint and a totally new medium!
