Next to Sole Hope,...this is one of the most awesome organizations we have partnered with!
Ben started The Memory Project years ago, out of his college dorm room after traveling to orphanages around the world and realizing the kids he visited had nothing of their own beyond the clothes on their backs.
Can you imagine...not having one thing that you can call your "own" that is personal to you? Some of these children likely rarely get to even look in a mirror to see their sweet faces.
Thanksgiving this year was a much needed break.
A holiday without all of the frills...one that truly caused me to sit (oh how I struggle with this) :) and reflect on how truly thankful I am in an overwhelming number of ways.
She and her beautiful family began this mission to help others: SOLE HOPE (watch the video below...it says so much more than I ever could)
Scheduling time to dream? An oxi-moron? Perhaps...generally dreaming comes out of a time unscheduled, but in this season of life, I am finding it a necessity.
Dreaming used to come out of painting with no agenda as a child, or dancing with the tall peonies in my mother's front garden, but the over-used word "busy" in our lives has on occasion stolen this time from me.
For the past 3 years around this time, I start to reminisce...
I'm a daydreamer by nature...so it is no surprise that during my favorite season and since our engagement was this time as well...my daydream processor is on over drive :)
And my heart skips a beat just thinking about it.
3 years ago...my man completely surprised me.
He had a ring. And it was for me.
His heart for the Lord and for mine made this a moment in time I will never forget.
